AFR was the first contractor selected to handle event planning for a two year series of Returning Warrior Workshops nationwide. The Navy recently re-waarded AFR with another two-year contract to continue the excellent service we provide the government. As officers and enlisted personnel in the United States Navy return from combat and combat support duty, great care is taken to ensure a smooth transition back to civilian life. A sailor may experience a variety of physical, mental, and emotional challenges while deployed, and AFR Event Management is here to assist in planning weekend workshops to help those who have given service to our country.

The purpose of the Returning Warrior Workshop is three-fold:

1. Honoring Warriors for their sacrifice of standing in harm’s way to protect our country and its citizens along with honoring their significant others for supporting the Sailor and  keeping the house functioning while the Sailor was away.

2. Raising awareness for the Warrior and significant others who may be experiencing some difficulty adjusting or reintegrating following their deployment with resources for assessment and referrals.

3. Affording Warriors and significant others the opportunity to learn about the many resources available to assist families with reintegration into civilian life.
